A FLOOD alert issued by the Environment Agency for the River Colne this morning has now been lifted.

Flooding was possible for the River Colne from Great Yeldham to, and including Colchester.

A Flood Alert means communities should be prepared for flooding but no immediate action is required.

Over the next 24 hours the forecast is for light rain.
