A MAN has been arrested after 100 cannabis plants were found on an industrial estate.
Police were called to the Rice Bridge Industrial Estate in Harwich Road, Thorpe on Friday at 5.30pm after a van was reported to be acting suspiciously in the area.
Officers identified a unit that smelled strongly of cannabis and found approximately 50 mature plants and a further 50 saplings that have been sent for forensic analysis.
A man, 29, from Marks Tey, was arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and taken to Clacton police station for questioning.
He has been released on bail until February 17.
