A MAN arrested after a smash which closed the A12 for 11 hours has been re-bailed by police pending further enquiries.
The 39-year-old Hertfordshire man was arrested on suspicion of drink or drug driving on October 7.
His arrest came after the his 44-tonne articulated lorry smashed into barriers on the A12, near to Marks Tey, in the early hours of the morning.
The crash led to 16 miles of the northbound trunk road being closed from Boreham to Marks Tey while rescue services worked to clear the wreckage.
The man has been bailed until January.
