COMEDIAN, actor and TV personality Griff Rhys Jones, pictured left, is to unveil Walton and Frinton Yacht Club’s new base.
The clubhouse is a few months from completion, but the building is ready for a fundraising event.
Mr Rhys Jones, a member of the Walton club, will take to the stage on December 6 to help boost funds.
He will cover subjects, including his love of sailing and his friendship with the late Mel Smith.
Club member and project manager Martin Jenkins said: “Members are all looking forward to getting into the new building after saying goodbye to our old home in April.
“Griff, who has long been a friend of the club, has generously donated his time for this event in order to raise funds to help with the finishing of the building project.”
Tickets are available to members and their guests.
