Two men seriously injured in a double stabbing in Jaywick

In today's Gazete: Two men were seriously injured after a double stabbing in Jaywick.
A 33-year-old man suffered wounds to his legs, arms and face during the incident in Jaywick while a 27-year-old man suffered wounds to his neck. Both men have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Five other people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
- X Factor hopeful Sam Callahan from Great Totham has made it through to the next round of the show after surviving a serious throat injury which nearly put his performance in jeopardy.
- A woman has been charged with six counts of fraud after she raised money, claiming she was suffering from cancer.
Danielle Watson, 23, from Rowhedge, said she needed the cash to pay for cervical cancer treatment not available on the NHS.
- Fundraisers went round in circles to raise money for St Helena Hospice.
The hospice's Night Vision relay saw teams on the track for 12 hours continuously.
