Dry cleaners' investment in Colchester
5:10pm Saturday 28th September 2013 in News
A COLCHESTER business has spent £36,000 on new machinery and believes the town is the place to be as the recession ends.
Island Dry Cleaning, in St John’s Street, invested the money on upgrading to a state of the art dry cleaning machine and has also created one job.
Len Oakes, managing director, who now employs six staff, said: “I think the doom and gloom is lifting.
“It has been tough, businesses have really felt the pinch, but we’re setting our stall out to stay in Colchester and be a key business here.
“I think our future here in the town is bright.”
