Medics from Indian subcontinent to visit Colchester
11:36am Tuesday 10th September 2013 in News
LEPROSY experts from India and Bangladesh will visit Colchester General Hospital on Friday.
The visit, organised with international charity Lepra, based in Middleborough, Colchester, will see three doctors and one physiotherapist find out how a typical British hospital works.
The quartet will also meet hospital trust chief executive Dr Gordon Coutts, who has a medical student completed a Lepra-based project in India.
Lepra chief executive Sarah Nancollas said: “This is a great opportunity for a wide range of medical staff to become more aware of leprosy as an issue and a chance for two significant health organisations in Colchester to learn more about each other.”
