Inquest opened into Kirsty's death
AN INQUEST was opened this morning following the murder of Colchester mum Kirsty Humphrey.
Senior coroner Caroline Beasley-Murrary began and adjourned the inquest during a brief hearing in Chelmsford.
Paramedics were called to Kirsty’s home, in Queen Elizabeth Way, Monkwick, last Wednesday morning after the 23-year-old was found with stab wounds, but they were unable to resuscitate her.
The inquest was adjourned to a date yet to be fixed.
- Mark Czapla, 24, of Queen Elizabeth Way, Colchester, has been charged with Kirsty's murder and will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court tomorrow.
