Festival goers help beat polio
WEARY festival goers have inadvertently helped to raise hundreds of pounds to eradicate polio.
Tents, sleeping bags, airbeds and chairs abandoned by the music lovers at V Festival have been collected and sold by the Rotary Club of Colchester Centurion.
The equipment was sold at the Myland fete in Colchester and helped to raise £500 for the Rotary charity End Polio Now which seeks to wipe out the disease.
