Drifting children helped back to shore
9:15am Friday 30th August 2013 in News
TWO children who were drifting out to sea in a dinghy were helped back to shore by a lifeboat crew.
The West Mersea RNLI inshore lifeboat and Mersea coastguard were called to Waldegraves Caravan Park on Mersea Island at about 4.30pm yesterday.
The children were losing control of their dinghy but with the supervision of the lifeboat crew were able to paddle back to shore.
