Booze stolen from supermarket shelves
9:30am Tuesday 20th August 2013 in News
BOOZE bandits have been raiding supermarket shelves for alcohol.
But unlike your traditional shoplifters these classy crooks are not stealing cider or super strength lager but champagne and designer spirits.
Police were called to the Co-Op, The Square, Iceni Way, after a bottle of champagne was swiped.
It was taken during the daytime on Thursday, August 8.
The suspect has a large build, three quarter length beige shorts, a blue top and is aged 41 to 60.
Then on Saturday, August 10, £72 of spirits including Belvedere and Grey Goose vodka were stolen from Waitrose, off St Andrew’s Avenue.
And a man was charged with making off without payment after stealing Jack Daniels from Marks and Spencer in Colchester High Street.
