Burst main leaves 38 homes without water
A BURST main has left homes without water in a Colchester street today.
A four-inch PVC pipe burst in Panton Crescent, causing 38 homes to be cut off from 7.30am.
Engineers from Anglian Water are taking longer than usual to repair the burst as they have been forced to dig by hand due to a number of other utilities in the same area.
Repairs are due to be completed by the end of the afternoon.
A spokesman has apologised for the inconvenience caused.
