Wildlife trust celebrates Essex coastline
ESSEX Wildlife Trust is holding a series of events to celebrate the county’s coastal habitats.
Marine Month hopes to run fun activities for all the family looking at creatures including oysters, anemones and crabs.
There is also a serious message behind the month, with the trust continuing to campaign for greater protection for marine conservation zones off the Essex coastline.
Activities include a Marine Discovery Day on West Mersea beach, from 11am-2pm on Tuesday August 20 and a crabbing competition at Fingringhoe Wick from 4.30-6pm on Tuesday August 27.
