In today's Gazette: Seriously ill Debbie Bond could be jailed after she was sued by her niece for £30,000.
Debbie, 49, is due to get a £1 million pay out from the NHS after doctors failed to diagnose a bleed on her brain. She is being sued by her hiece for unfair dismissal.
* More than 120 protesters rallied outside a Colchester Council meeting calling for Abbots Activity Centre to be kept open.
The council is looking to close the centre in a bid to save £74,000 but was accused of knowing the cost of everything and the value of nothing.
* Villagers in Dedham are celebrating after plans to introduce fees at two car parks in the village were put on hold.
* Homeowners have described their shock after a fire ripped through their gardens.
Firefighters believe the blaze behind homes in Sydney Street, Colchester, was started by children playing with matches.
