Memories of life in Colchester's St Botolph's sought

ANYONE with memories of Colchester’s St Botolph’s area they would like to share are invited to an event this Saturday.
An online history archive is being created as part of a Mary Portas funded project run by Creative Coop.
On Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm, residents, students, retailers and business owners are invited to a drop-in session at the Old Bus Station Waiting Room to see what historic maps and documents have been discovered. A second event is being held on Friday, August 2 from 5pm to 7.30pm.
They can also record their memories to form part of an online archive on the area, which surrounds the ruins of the 12th century St Botolph’s Priory.
With the help of Colchester School of Art, the Creative Coop has begun converting the former waiting rooms into a community space with a lending library, workshops, a cafe and bar and more.
