Pupils at St Theresa Primary School in Colchester recreated the Great Fire of London.

They built  the streets around Pudding Lane and, with help from  firefighters, they set it alight.

Teacher Gabrielle Hilton said: "They thought it was amazing and didn't mind seeing their hard work burnt."

Bit mental if you ask me!

Surely they can read about in books without resorting to arsonist training ;-)

Oh, Come on! It looks like great fun!

Education needs to be fun and I imagine that these children will remember this event for years to come.

Experiential learning is an important and occasionally vital reinforcement to knowledge gained from literature sources.

bringing history to life in real terms.

the kids will remember about the great fire of london for far longer than just by reading about it.

In the real world, even firefighters from across the world come to England to train on dealing with fire situations,
so the small scale mini buildings fires can be dealt with with ease by our worldwide proven firefighting services eh.
