Equality charity targets homophobia in school
AN CHARITY wants to stamp out homophobic bullying in the wake of a teenage suicide.
Outhouse East, based in East Hill, Colchester, has been commissioned to do a report tackling prejudice in schools.
It follows the death of Philip Morant pupil, Ayden Olson, believed to have taken his own life after a campaign of hate by playground bullies.
It is alleged that some bullies targeted the 14-year-old believing he was gay, despite the fact he had never come out.
Daniel Bunker, Outhouse East service development manager, said the school had a track record of similar incidents.

So well done, Daniel Bunker and Outhouse East, for trying to do something about it.

Rarely do I agree with Boris but using the death of this lad to highlight any issues the School may have is totally wrong.

1) Can you definitely say the accusations are without substance ? homophobic bullying is pretty rife in most places
2) When it is published would be a better time to comment on agendas.
Maybe we should come back to this thread when the definitive report is published, and revaluate it then
