Camra takes over Colchester Castle for ale festival
9:20am Tuesday 19th March 2013 in News
COLCHESTER Castle will today be transformed into a beer hall for four days only.
Around 40 ales from Essex and Suffolk breweries along with cider and locally-produced wines will be available at a bar inside the castle’s historic keep, staffed by volunteers from the Colchester and north east Essex branch of Camra.
Tim Young, councillor responsible for culture, said: “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enjoy fine ale and good company in Colchester's landmark Norman Castle.”
Entry, from 4pm to 10.30pm from today until Friday, is £6, including a commemorative glass.

Admittance to the Festival cost just £3.00 (FREE to Card Carrying CAMRA Members and Friends of the Museums) plus £3.00 (Non-Refundable) for a commemorative Festival Pint Glass. If you visit more than once please bring your glass back with you, to avoid having to buy another (should you wish)
