Prolific burglars jailed

A QUICK thinking teenager helped catch burglars responsible for stealing more than £25,000 worth of goods during a month long crime spree.

Victims have praised the “amazing” response from police and the technically savvy resident who helped trace the notorious burglars through a computer and a smart phone application.

Now Reece Jode, 20, of Alexandra Terrace, and Samuel Lorrimer, 23, of Withy Mead, London, are behind bars for a catalogue of crime committed to fuel their drug habits.

Lorrimer also asked for a similar burglary involving scrambling bikes in a shed, believed to have been committed on New Year’s Day, to be considered.

He was jailed for a total of 14 months.

Jode admitted two burglaries, one charge of going equipped to steal and asked for three more to be taken into consideration as he was jailed for 20 months.

The burglaries were all committed between mid December in 2012 and January 2013 with Jode on bail and curfew already.
