CCTV images have been released of a suspect wanted in connection with a Clacton assault where part of a man’s ear was bitten off.

The victim was punched in the head and had the top of his ear bitten off in the attack.

It happened in Clacton on January 26.

Police have not released the location of the attack to prevent identification of the victim.

Investigating officer det con Claire Strachan said: “Enquiries have been ongoing since the assault but so far we have been unable to identify the man shown in the CCTV stills.

“I’m keen to trace him and would appeal for anyone who recognises him to contact me at Clacton police station.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 101.

This assault happened seven weeks ago . Why does it take so long before this CCTV pictures are released. There could be people who have seen this person who have now left the area
