Youth mental health centre meets standards

A MENTAL health centre for young people in Colchester meets standards.

Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission carried out an unannounced visit at the St Aubyn Centre.

They found the centre, run by the North Essex Partnership NHS Trust, was fully compliant with essential standards.

Patient care standards may be good but what about staff who smoke outside the centre along Boxted Road. No ashtrays or bins provided so the pavement is littered with cigarette ends where these people congrigate.

Don't only improve on essential standards but try to take a more responsible approach, perhaps providing a bin and insist staff use it and don't litter would be a start!

NHS staff smoking, drinking alcohol off duty taking drugs or drinking too much coffee on duty should closely monitored and not allowed or encouraged.
There is not enough drug testing of staff especially in mental health care.
I know some mental health nurses who regularly take smoking canabis.
The whole issue is disgusting the appearance and deportment of some NHS staff is rather alarming.
When we witness dishelvelled staff puffing away on some building corner in a health establishment it does all look rather alarming quite shameful really.

Your opinion is valueless.

Count Wolfgang: nobody's opinion is right or wrong, or any more or less value than anybody else's. Having said that, we've yet to hear a constructive view from your good self?

Agree with "Im-like-hello". One can always learn from other peoples ideas.
