LIFE-SAVING equipment has been installed at a rural town supermarket in a bid to save lives.
A defibrillator is now available 24/7 outside West Mersea’s East of England Co-op store in Barfield Road.
Residents, first responders and shoppers were given demonstrations of the machine, on resuscitation dolls, when it was installed at the store.
Town mayor John May also learnt how to use the machine, which has been put in as part of the Co-operative Society’s Every Minute Counts campaign, which will see 100 defibrillators rolled out to rural locations across the region.
