BOOKS became a new art form during an event at Essex University.

Youngsters created bookmarks, built sculptures out of books and came up with their own stories at the Art Exchange.

Wivenhoe artist Alison Stockmarr also helped children make a house for their books using cardboard and other materials, with the youngsters’ current read making the roof.
