Finn falls just short of Crufts crown
4:57pm Monday 11th March 2013 in News
TIPTREE Weimaraner, Finn, fell just short of regaining his Crufts crown when he finished second in the best of breed competition on Saturday.
Finn’s owner, Sam Levy, of Maldon Road, had hoped to reclaim the top prize, which the pair took home in 2012, but is now already looking forward to competing again.
“Finn showed very well, as he always does, but it just wasn’t his year,” said Miss Levy, 23, a part-time nanny and dog groomer, who went to the Plume School, in Maldon.
“He’ll have a few weeks off now and he will rest up and enjoy his walks before competitions start again next month.”
She added: “Finn is eight now so he is a little older than a lot of the other dogs but he will keep showing as long as he wants to.
“He still loves doing it and when he gets out there he is just like the young ones.”
