FORMER MP Chris Huhne and his ex-wife Vicky Pryce will be sentenced today at Southwark Crown Court.

Huhne, 58, admitted perverting the course of justice last month while Pryce, 60, was found guilty last week following a trial.

Pryce had taken speeding points on behalf of Huhne after his car was snapped by a speed camera on the M11 near Stansted Airport in 2003.

The hearing begins at 2pm and the pair have been warned to expect jail sentences.

Quite right that each got the same sentence. Just as well it is only a few months, for we need the places in prison for the most dangerous criminals. Like Paul White, these two will be convicted criminals for the rest of their lives, and that is sufficient.
