12:24pm Saturday 9th March 2013 in News By Andrea Collitt
A FAMILY including children were in the flat when a man in his 20s was murdered this morning, it has emerged.
A man hunt is underway after two armed men arrived at the Charles House flat block off St Peter's Street, Colchester, and threatened a man.
A second man, and a member of the family, was also wounded but did not require hospital treatment.
Speaking from the scene, Chief Insp Richard Phillibrown said: "We are following a number of lines of enquiry and don't believe this was a random event.
"There was a family in the flat at the time and they do have children."
A post-mortem on the murder victim is due to take place later today.

I hope the little scrote that has done this is caught and made an example of, people nowadays find it all too easy to use a weapon to sort their differences out . What ever happened to the good old days of 2 people using neaderthol tactics to sort it out, would at least mean people got to go home after.
Such a waste of a life though.
