Colchester: Woman harmed in two-vehicle smash


A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a two-vehicle smash in Colchester.
A Land Rover and Ford Fiesta were in collision at the junction of Port Lane and Barrack Street.

Two fire engines from Colchester, an ambulance and a rapid response car, and police cars were called to the scene around 11.10am on Monday.
Fire fighters spent about 30 minutes cutting the woman out of the Ford Fiesta.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said the woman, aged 52, was taken to Colchester General Hospital with non-life theatening injuries.
 

Police closed a section of the road while the incident was dealt with.
 

The driver of the Land Rover was unharmed.
