Burglars raid Greenstead home but leave empty handed

RESIDENTS are being reminded to lock doors and windows after another home in Colchester was raided.
 

Burglars entered a home in Hickory Avenue via an unlocked window on Saturday between 5.20pm and 6.20pm.
 

Electrical items were found moved onto a bed but nothing was taken.
 

Police are reminding people to always carry out a last minute check of their property when leaving it for any length of time to ensure windows and doors are closed and locked.

Electrical items were found moved onto a bed but nothing was taken.

Instead those who entered the property took pity and left the homeowner with a new laptop!
