Campaign to force repairs at cracked and "dangerous" paving
1:00pm Wednesday 13th February 2013 in News By James Cox
CAMPAIGN has been launched to force repairs to a shoddy stretch of pavement.
Sir Bob Russell, Colchester MP, is leading calls to fix paving slabs outside the Magistrates’ Court in St Botolph’s Circus.
But Highways bosses said that although the pavement looked “unpleasant” they do not deem it a safety hazard.
Residents can report highways defects at www.essex.gov.uk or by calling 0845 603 7631.
Full reaction in Thursday's Gazette.

How they say its 'not dangerous' is beyond me as random bits of slab are sticking up 2-3inches.
My pregnant partner has to walk that way each night and its a worry.
Hope something gets done.

Right back to Bob's early days as a councillor, broken paving slabs. Why doesn't he leave such matters to people still trying to make a name for themselves?
