Wilkin & Sons submit plans to build new factory and 244 homes

LONG-AWAITED plans have been lodged to build a new jam factory and 244 homes in Tiptree.

Wilkin & Sons has submitted four planning applications to Colchester Council for a £15 million factory, two areas of housing and a treatment plant.

The landmark comes after more than 18 months of public exhibitions, consultations and an examination by an independent inspector.
