In today's Gazette: A climber died after falling while attempting to scale Ben Nevis.
Ben St Joseph, 22, of Mell Road, Tollesbury, was in the Scottish Highlands when fellow climbers saw him fall about 100 metres.
* The Victory pub in Walton is cashing in on the supermarket horse meat scandal - by holding a gourmet horse meat night.
Diners will be served horse meat burgers, haunch steak and stroganoff and the restaurant is already fully booked.
* Kyle Ogilvie, 22, of Station Lane, Dovercourt, has been jailed for 18 years for stabbing James Johnson in the head with a kitchen knife.
The knife was left in Mr Johnson's skull and Mr Johnson was lucky to survive.
* A widow has paid tribute to a devoted husband, father and vicar who has died from leukaemia aged 44.
The Rev Rhys Martin, 44, who was the vicar of Rowhedge, Abberton and Fingrinhoe died less than six months after being diagnosed.
