New NHS organisation to meet in Colchester

THE public is invited to a board meeting of a new organisation charged with the health of north Essex residents.

The North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group will meet at the Colchester Primary Care Centre in Turner Road this Tuesday at 2pm.

Members of the public can ask questions at the start of the meeting. The agenda also covers the reorganisation of the Essex Cancer Network and diabetes care.

The group will take over the running of the local NHS from the primary care trust in April.

Ridiculously short notice for a meeting of this importance. Why couldn't they have publicised it sooner? Was the CCG or the Gazette at fault over this?
