Colchester's former police station is set to be furned into a business centre for creative industries.
The building, which is now a bar, will be turned into a cafe with 22 studio spaces over two floors while the cells will be turned into meeting rooms under the £2 million revamp.
* The family of missing man Jamie Toomey have begged him to return home.
Dad-of-four Jamie, 45, of King's Parade, Holland-on-Sea, was last seen in Clacton on January 6.
* A troubled care home, which closed after concerns were raised over the treatment of residents, is up for sale.
Ashcroft Care Home in Eight Ash Green shut down after failing to meet four our of five standards of care. It is now on the market for £850,000.
* A supermarket chain is planning to open a third store in Colchester.
Iceland wants to take over the Fitness First premises at Turner Rise Retail Park. It already has stores at Tollgate and St John's Street, Colchester.
