Man arrested after rescue search

A man has been arrested on suspicion of obstructing the emergency services after a land and sea rescue was launched.

The rescue, involving police, coastguards and the RNLI, was launched in Clacton after a man phoned police threatening to take his life.

He was later found and has now been arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly, of obstructing the emergency services and malicious communication.
