Wivenhoe postmaster retires after 14 years

Post master Alan Buck has retired from the Wivenhoe post office.
A POSTMASTER has retired after serving his community for 14 years.
Alan Buck, 66, a familiar face behind the post office counter in the Wivenhoe High Street store, he thanked his staff and loyal customers for their support during his time in charge.
Alan, who lives in East Street, Colchester, is looking forward to long stays in France, playing golf, and enjoying more time with his family including his 12 grandchildren, with another on the way, now he has retired.
Bob and Sue Button, from Elmstead Market, are taking over the reins at the office and Alan is delighted with the move as Sue has worked at the post office under his stewardship for four years. The outreach service will continue.
