A CHARITY for the elderly is desperately appealing for donations to stave off a financial crisis.
Age UK Colchester needs to raise £40,000 by March 31 if it is continue supporting older people as it does currently.
Annual running costs total £315,000 and although the charity receives some financial support from Colchester Council and other groups it has a deficit of £150,000 per year.
