A QUAD biker died from critical head injuries after losing control and hitting a wall, an inquest heard.
Adam Mander, 29, had been drinking, although no toxicology results were presented to reveal how much, when he decided to go for a ride on the road.
He took out a quad bike without a helmet and with tyres not fit for the road and went to Boxted where he clipped the edge of a bridge and was thrown off the bike and into a wall on Saturday, July 21.
He died at Colchester General Hospital on July 23 as a result of his head injuries.
His parents, sister and girlfriend, who attended the inquest in Chelmsford today, heard expert testimony from a crash investigator before coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray recorded a verdict of accidental death.
