'Is happiness genetic' asks Essex Uni academic

HAPPINESS is genetic - or is it?

An academic from Essex University will discuss her latest research into whether optimism or pessimism is influenced by our bodies or actions.

Professor Elaine Fox, an expert in cognitive psychology and neuroscience will talk about her book Rainy Brain Sunny Brain at a Cafe Scientifique event on Wednesday.

The free talk takes place in The Minories' ballroom in Colchester High Street at 7pm, doors open at 6.30pm. Visitors should use the garden entrance, opposite Firstsite.

Of course what is positive to one person could be considered negative to another. MPs are good examples of people who are positive, when in power, and become negative to their opponents. Step up Sir Bob!
