Maldon: Driver fails breath test hours into new year

A MAN has been arrested on New Year’s morning for drink driving.
The 26-year-old man from the Maldon area was stopped on Cold Norton Road in Latchingdon at 6am on Tuesday.
He was arrested and charged with one count of driving while under the influence of alcohol and one count of driving without insurance.
He was released on police bail to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 31.
More than a dozen drivers across the county failed breath tests on the same day.
