Conman jailed for air ambulance charity fraud

A CONMAN has been jailed for pocketing donations to air ambulance charities.

Nigel Philpot-Jones opened a charity shop in Walton but a court heard how most of the donations either ended up in his pocket or used to pay bills.

The 59-year-old from School Road, Messing, was jailed for six months after he admitted a charge of fraud at Chelmsford Crown Court.
