COLCHESTER’S controversial new bus station will be completed in time to open this Sunday, it has been confirmed.
Workmen have been creating the £2 million facility on Osborne Street and Stanwell Street throughout the autumn.
Now Derrick Louis, Essex County councillor responsible for highways, has confirmed the new station will be officially unveiled on Sunday
The current temporary bus station, on Queen Street, will close at midnight on Saturday.
Mr Louis said: “Excellent progress has been made on the development of Colchester new bus station, and I am delighted that it will be ready to open this weekend."
