Top cop faces council grilling

A TOP cop is set to be grilled by parish councillors about speeding and anti-social behaviour.

Chief Insp Paul Wells, district commander for Colchester, will face Tiptree Parish Council at their next meeting on Monday November 26.

At a meeting last night councillors agreed to ask Mr Wells what his top five priorities for policing are and what he thinks the top priorities are for Tiptree.

They will also ask what can be done about anti-social behaviour in the village and targeting speeding motorists.

It really isn't on, for a top cop to be speeding and behaving anti-socially. ;)

I really don't think that a parish council could "grill" anyone let alone a police middle manager (hardly a top cop!)

When the speeding motorists are targeted the police will then be criticised for not catching "real" criminals instead of victimising drivers!
