Send us your grot spots to tidy up Send us your grot spots to tidy up

THE Gazette is on a mission to Tidy our Town.

We need you to send in pictures of the grot spots blighting your community.

A team of reporters and volunteers will work with Kent Blaxill, which is supporting the campaign, to choose six of them and give them a makeover.

If you have somewhere you want us to look send your pictures to gazette.newsdesk@nqe.com or Caroline Tilley, 43-44 North Hill, Colchester, CO1 1TZ.

All you have to do is tell us what the problems are and what you would like achieved.

We will print them in the paper and online and initially choose six to make over.

Dates will then be published of when we will meet to try and get the work done and volunteers are more than welcome to join us for the clean up.

There's a rusty golden shed next to the bus station that is a right dump with lots of rubbish inside it. Start there. Then get rid of the trash at 15 Queen Street and finish up by clearing out SlackerSpace (wherever that is now). Let's clear up our town.

There speaks one bitter man. 15 Queen St is the work of a hardworking, gifted collective of local people determined to drive regeneration in the town. They might not have changed the world, but they've made a positive contribution. What's your legacy to Colchester Bert?

Have to agree Ginster Dragon - a lot of people use both facilities for their creative outlets. The Colchester Filmmakers recently hosted the amazing first Colchester Film Festival which was a roaring success and not the least bit elitist.
