Tory MPs defy Government over EU vote
3:20pm Thursday 1st November 2012 in News By Wendy Brading
REBEL Tory MPs Bernard Jenkin and Douglas Carswell have defended their decision to vote against the Government on the EU budget vote.
Mr Jenkin, who is MP for Harwich and North Essex, and Clacton MP Mr Carswell said it was unfair to expect Britain to pay vast sums to the EU while Britain was enduring austerity cuts.
They were two of 53 Conservative MPs to vote with the Labour party calling for a real-term cut in spending.

The increase would mean we give Brussels £22,000 a minute. Why? What benefit do we get from this so called club?

Also our taxes have rocketed VAT and fuel duties.
Food and heating bills are rising.
Living standards are falling.
Do I have a point - I can't afford to give the EU anymore.
But what do I know I only live on Greenstead.
