FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze in Greenstead this afternoon.
Two crews from Colchester were called at 3.44pm and found an end-of-terrace house in Blackthorn Avenue completely smoke-logged with the first floor ablaze.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the blaze by 4.36pm.
