A MOTHER'S campaign to cut knife crime after her son was murdered has opened a shop in Colchester town centre.

Caroline Shearer hopes the shop in Lion Walk will raise money and awareness for her campaign - Only Cowards Carry.

Her son Jay Whiston, 17, was stabbed to death outside a house party in Marlowe Way, Colchester in September.

The shop, which has been given to Caroline rent free, will be open during half term.

I am really pleased to hear about this shop and wish the family all the best.
As an anti-knife campaigner i hope the whole of Colchester and surrounding area's vist and support the shop. ANTI-KNIFE UK done an awareness shop on saturday in ilford and it would great if more towns did awareness shops with so many empty shops about.
