Suspect escapes after attempted burglary

A HOMEOWNER chased an intruder down the road following an attempted burglary in Colchester.
Police were called to Cage Lane, Boxted at about 12.30am this morning after reports of an intruder.
A search was carried out, joined by the police helicopter, but the suspect escaped having been spotted in the garden.
Anyone with information call Colchester police on 101.
