One in 20 trains late, according to latest figures
TRAINS in Essex were on time for 95 per cent of journeys in the last month.
Greater Anglia services between September 16 and October 13 this year showed an improvement on last year, when the figure was 92.5 per cent.
Data released by Network Rail today showed nationally trains were on time for 92.3 per cent of journeys.

What about the engineering work at the weekend ? All you get is an alert saying that a normal service with no delays in operation.......I don't call getting off at Witham and being bussed to Billericay to catch another train a normal service and it takes longer than normal so surely there are delays...

A train is defined as on time if it arrives at the destination within five minutes (ie 4 minutes 59 seconds or less) of the planned arrival time for London and South East or regional services, or 10 minutes (ie 9 minutes 59 seconds or less) for long distance services.
