MILITARY Provost Staff at Colchester’s military detention centre have been praised by a royal visitor.

The Duchess of Gloucester visited the Military Corrective Training Centre yesterday.

She met soldiers and their familes and toured the facility.

Ok, after a bit of research - the Duchess of Gloucester's husband's mother married the Queens Uncle (the youngest child of George V). The Duke of Gloucester is currently 21st in line to the throne.

Did she get to meet the 5 Royal Marines held accused of shooting a Taliban terrorist?. I think they were conveniently moved out of the way to save any royal embarrassment. Also explains why a minor royal was assigned this visit.
