HEALTH bosses have admitted a newly proposed site for a medical centre in Wivenhoe is “not ideal”.
Richard Warner, chief executive officer of Realise Health, revealed in an open letter that design and legal discussions over the Cook’s Shipyard site are on hold while a travel audit is carried out.
Residents have been up in arms after learning earlier this month original plans to site a new health centre on land next to the town’s fire station had been put on the back-burner in favour of land in the new residential development on the Wivenhoe waterfront.
